Doubt is a veryeffective tool the ego self uses in its attempt to keep things thesame. Doubt is successful in avoiding growth because it leads toprocrastination, and then stagnation.

So if you are finding yourself procrastinating ondoing things you wish to experience, realize your ego fears it willcease to matter if you move forward in this direction.

You might ask it how it mightparticipate in your new adventure by giving it a job, like keepingyou safe in the activity. Find a way to include your ego in a waythat allows it to feel nurtured and important. Or, if all elsefails, placate it by allowing it to procrastinate onprocrastinating! (laughter)
